Experience that translates complexity into credibility

Jill Malandrino connects financial markets, emerging technology, and governance through editorial strategy and executive conversations. Her work spans artificial intelligence, digital assets, cybersecurity, financial infrastructure, media, and regulatory change.

Through Jill Malandrino Media, she advises organizations, executives, and agencies on editorial strategy, executive communications, media training, and thought leadership. Her perspective brings together more than a decade in institutional equities, a career in financial journalism, and graduate study in communication and law.

The editorial discipline behind the work

Understand the audience. Establish who the conversation needs to reach, why the subject matters to them, and what they should take away.

Find the useful question. Research the subject, examine the wider context, and identify what has not yet been asked. The editorial opportunity should connect an organization’s expertise to a question the audience cares about.

Prepare, then leave room for discovery. Develop clear messaging and a thoughtful discussion framework while staying responsive to what emerges in the conversation.

01 / Institutional markets

Before entering media, Jill spent more than a decade in institutional equity marketing and trading at Prudential Equity Group and H.C. Wainwright. That experience informs the questions she asks about market structure, investment decisions, and the business implications of emerging technology.

02 / Executive conversations

She spent nearly a decade as the creator and host of Nasdaq TradeTalks, leading thousands of conversations with investors, policymakers, technologists, regulators, and market participants. The work spanned artificial intelligence, digital assets, cybersecurity, financial infrastructure, and regulatory transformation.

03 / Financial journalism

Her reporting includes U.S. and African markets for Voice of America and options and futures coverage for TheStreet from CBOE, CBOT, NYMEX, NYSE, and Nasdaq. That reporting experience shapes her preparation, follow-up questions, and focus on making complex topics useful to the audience.

Education & perspective

Jill’s academic work connects journalism and communication with the study of privacy law and cybersecurity. It adds a governance perspective to conversations about technology: who is affected, what responsibilities follow, and how organizations explain their decisions.

Together with her markets and media experience, this foundation informs the research, preparation, and editorial judgment she brings to each engagement.
